SCNetwork Corporate Subscription (Toronto Only)

In 2005, along with the new name came a new focus on Strategic Capability for the entire organization. The Toronto Region of SCNetwork launched a brand new, far-reaching type of subscription for organizations. It is designed to create a strong future for capability strategies and human resource management.

The Corporate Subscription is designed truly as a training program and may be budgeted as a training expense, which can make it easier to accommodate for some organizations.

The strategic purpose of the Toronto multi-participant Corporate Subscription is, over time, to encourage more organizations to help fully educate senior line executives to appreciate the powerful contributions to organization strength and bottom-line results available through effective, strategic management of the individual and organizational capabilities of its people.

Corporate Subscription includes the following essential privileges

For the single inclusive fee of $1000, the senior Vice President of Human Resources or equivalent becomes a full individual member called the "Key Member" with the usual access to library and other privileges of individual members. In addition, the Key Member can invite or send up to three additional individuals from their organization to all regular meetings at no additional cost. If four people attend every regular meeting the cost for the exceptional line-up of presenters each year is in the range of $20 to $25 per person per meeting, an amazing value.

For organizations that require personal development or want to ensure line executives remain up to date and aware of the latest knowledge about the impact of people on results, this is a particularly attractive offer.

Over time, the goal is to increase appreciation of the professional contribution of human resources/people capability within individual organizations and throughout society. Additional attendees are at the discretion of the Key Member each meeting, provided they are senior (the most senior in any major function). Senior status ensures the value of networking remains high.

· Benefits and privileges of the Corporate Subscription include:

a. The senior HR executive will be designated the Key Member.

b. The Key Member may register themselves and up to three additional SENIOR* associates from the corporation for any regular SCNetwork meeting/event – typically more than 12 opportunities per year to suit varying functional interests.

Note: SENIOR* means executive in charge of particular area of HR practice or business unit, typically Vice President, Director, General Manager, etc. This ensures programs and networking are targeted at a high level.

SCNetwork will retain focus on issues appropriate for top executives in current and emerging areas of HR and operations and not aim at junior or mid-level.

c. The Key Member will have regular access to web privileges including directory, library downloads, affiliate benefits, etc., to share information across the corporation, including past and current presentations – a substantial information base

d. Additional sign-ups for meetings (beyond 4, which includes the Key Member and 3 others) can be handled directly through the website at normal non-member rates.

e. Key Members will be invited to peer meetings on a periodic basis that provide additional value via interactive and input events.

f. Key Members will be invited to participate in SCNetwork program design and selection, providing a voice in developmental objectives targeted to them, their key HR leaders and that their SENIOR* business associates.

g. The Corporate Subscription program will assist SCNetwork in defining and selecting appropriate, highly useful presentations and experiences for senior executives to create a high profile for the value of HR and its application business-wide.

h. The network of Key Members will be valuable to those members for setting up special meetings on topics of mutual interest (the European model). SCNetwork will seek to organize and host these via sponsorships or other means.

i. As a critical mass of Key Members is achieved there will opportunities for Corporate Subscription organizations to join in research co-sponsored via SCNetwork with shared results and findings.

j. Special rates for Key Members to attend the annual HRPS (Human Resource Planning Society) conference and other affiliate opportunities as they arise.

k. Additional programs and benefits as they are developed.
